Historic Downtown
A jewel of the downtown area is the historic Strand Theater, built in 1923 and currently undergoing a total renovation. The theater hosts the annual Christmas show of Grammy award winner Carl Jackson as well as other cultural events.
Outdoor Recreation
When you’ve explored all that the downtown area has to offer, it’s just a short walk or drive north to Ivy Park, site of the Louisville Coliseum. The park provides well-maintained facilities for outdoor recreation, including a playground, picnic area, walking track, tennis courts, and baseball and softball fields.
